Congratulations to Portia Johnson from People First Hamilton who has just won the ‘Hey There campaign’ run by Attitude Live.
‘Hey There’ was a social change campaign where the voices of young disabled people could be heard.
It was all about telling people:
– what it can be like to live with a disability
– about the importance of inclusion.
7 People First NZ members entered the competition and shared their stories but it was Portia’s video that went viral! It had more than 500 video plays and over 600 shares on social media! Work does not just mean money. It also means independence and being included in the community.
