This message is from the National Committee.

On Wednesday 21 November 2022 the National Committee had a meeting.

The meeting was about the COVID-19 policy about traffic lights.

The Committee decided that the policy has ended as of 21 September 2022.

The end of the policy means:

  • members do not need to provide proof of being vaccinated
  • all members can attend meetings and events
  • members and staff can choose to wear face masks.

These changes do not mean COVID-19 has gone away.

At People First New Zealand meetings / events we need to keep doing some things to reduce the spread of:

  • COVID-19
  • other infectious illnesses.

What members, staff and volunteers will do now

It is important to not go to a meeting / event if you are sick.

To work out if you are sick do the Health Check List before you come to the meeting.

If you answer “yes” to any of the questions you cannot come to the meeting.

  • If you answer “yes” to any of the questions you cannot come to the meeting.
  • Call your regional coordinator / local assistant. They will work out a way to connect you with the group if you cannot come to the meeting.

You can get a copy of the checklist from your regional coordinator / local assistant or download it here:

At the meeting

  • You can choose if you want to wear a mask or not.
  • All food will be individually wrapped.
