Mark Gitmans, Don Neale and Hamish Taverner
People First NZ would like to congratulate Don Neale, a Member from the People First Top of the South Region, who has been awarded the Leona Gitmans Te Aranga award for self advocacy at the 2014 Imagine Better conference.
Don has been:
– secretary for Blenheim People First
– President for the region
– the People First representative on the Workbridge Council
– involved in the Government’s Disability Action Plan working group on employment
– to People First ‘Speaking Up’ and ‘UN Convention’ courses
– actively campaigning to get rid of the Minimum Wage Exemption permit.
